The American Leopard Hound also known as Leopard Cur, American Leopard, American Leopard Cur, and Leopard Hound is a pure breed of dogs from America. They are an ideal pet at home because of their sociability.
American Leopard Hound Appearance
Leopard Hound is a medium to large breed of dog weighing around 15.88 to 34.02 kg and 21 to 27 inches tall, they have a dense double coat, with the outer coat feeling rougher to touch, while the undercoat stays fine and feels more woolly, it comes in a leopard or spotted pattern and maybe red, blue, merle, brindle, black or another color, with white making up less than a third of the coat. Their ears are dropped and their eyes color might comes in yellow, brown, or blue.
Like other breeds of dogs, it is recommended to brush their fur occasionally. It is better to bathe and groom them as necessary and used the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft and smell good.
It is best to keep their dental hygiene and nail care properly, periodontal disease is very common to dog whatever their size, brush their teeth several times a week to help remove tartar and bacteria and maintain the good condition of their teeth. American Leopard Hound is a well-mannered dog, they are sweet, gentle, affectionate and lovely. |Gastric Torsion (Bloat)||Bloat is caused by the sudden influx of gas and air in the stomach. This causes the stomach to distend and twist and can cause death if it isn’t treated.|
|Episodic Falling||It is an ‘exercise-induced hypertonicity disorder’ meaning that there is increased muscle tone and the muscles are unable to relax.|
