Brittany

The Brittany is a breed of dog used for bird hunting developed in a province in northwest France called Brittany where it’s named after. They are an energetic dog that is good for hunting and a good companion as family pet at home.

Although it is often referred to as a Spaniel, the American Kennel Club dropped the word “spaniel” from this pointing breed’s name in 1982. Though it resembles a spaniel-like dog used for flushing games, such as Springers and Cockers, Brittanys are more akin to pointers and all-purpose sporting dogs.
