The Bulldog is a breed of dog that originated in England, they are a medium-sized dog with sturdy and heavy body build. In the old days, they were used to drive cattle to market but because of their friendly and calm personality, they become one of the most popular family pet companions in the house now.

Bulldog is also known as English Bulldog or British Bulldog, they are very calm and adaptable to the environment which makes them great companions for first-time fur parents. Bulldog Appearance

Bulldog has large, strongly and solidly body build, their head is wide heads and shoulders along with a pronounced mandibular prognathism. They have a wrinkled face, saggy lip, and distinctive pushed-in nose, their eyes are round and commonly comes in black color. Their tail is naturally short and either straight, screwed, or thin.

English Bulldog has soft, loose skin, especially on the head, neck, and shoulders. Their coat is straight, short, and smooth, and glossy that comes in red, fawn, white, brindle, or piebald color. They are very low maintenance dogs you can bathe and groom once to twice a week or if needed, use the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good.

While you groom them, check for sores, rashes, or signs of infection such as redness, tenderness, or inflammation on the skin, in the nose, mouth, and eyes, and on the feet. The eyes should be clear, with no redness or discharge. Ear Infections is a common condition in dogs that can affect one or both ears, check their ears at least once to twice a week for redness or a bad odor it is an indication of infections. To prevent ear infections in dogs always make sure that it is clean, use a dog ear cleaner and gently wipe it using a cotton ball dampened with an ear cleaner to your dog’s ears.

Early detection of the problems will result in early medication, in that you can prevent more serious health problems to occur.

Bulldog is small to medium size dog, they weigh around 18-23 kg, their height ranges in 36-38 cm. You can expect female Bulldog to slight smaller than male.

English bulldog loves to stay inside the house and sleep on the couch, they are very lazy dog and doesn’t enjoy exercise, however, they have a very large and heavy body that needs regular physical activities to keep fit and healthy. Make sure to walk him/her on a regular basis at least thirty to one hour a day this will also help them to be more sociable and active throughout the day.

Bulldog is also very sweet, loyal, calm, and friendly they love children too and can be the best companion in the house. They love to be around the people they love and treat as a family, they might become aggressive just only to protect their owner.
