The Doberman Pinscher or simply Dobermann is a breed of dog that originated in Germany. They were bred as guard dogs in the late 19th century by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann. Doberman Pinscher Appearance

The Doberman Pinscher was believed to be a mixture of many dog breeds, together with the Black and Tan Terrier, Rottweiler, and German Pinscher. Dobermann has an aristocrat appearance, they have a well-muscled athletic body build which makes them great police and military dog. Their short, sleek, and smooth coat that is close to the skin comes in a color of black, red, blue, and fawn. They have rust markings above each eye, on their muzzle, throat, chest, and on their legs and feet.

Dobermann is an average shedder so they require to bathe and groom as necessary, use the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good.

While you groom them, check for sores, rashes, or signs of infection such as redness, tenderness, or inflammation on the skin, in the nose, mouth, and eyes, and on the feet. The eyes should be clear, with no redness or discharge. Dog Ear Infections is a common condition in dogs that can affect one or both ears, check their ears at least once to twice a week for redness or a bad odor it is an indication of Ear Infections. To prevent ear infections in dogs always make sure that it is clean, use a dog ear cleaner and gently wipe it using a cotton ball dampened with an ear cleaner to your dog’s ears.

Early detection of the problems will result in early medication, in that you can prevent more serious health problems to occur.

It is best to keep their dental hygiene and nail care properly too, periodontal disease is very common to dog whatever their size, brush their teeth several times a week to help remove tartar and bacteria and maintain the good condition of their teeth. Trim their nails once or twice a month to prevent injury in your dogs, long nails can also cause arthritis or other health concern in dogs. Short, neatly trimmed nails keep the feet in good condition and prevent our dog’s legs and our legs too from getting scratched when they excitedly jump up to greet us.

Canine Eye Inflammation If your dog is suffering from eye inflammation in the outer skin and middle (muscle, connective tissue, and glands) of the eyes it is classified as Blepharitis, and if your dog is suffering from eye inflammation in the iris and ciliary body of the uvea of the eye it is classified as anterior uveitis, this may affect your dog’s vision and needs meditate veterinarian attention.
