The Dogue de Bordeaux also is known as Bordeaux Mastiff, French Mastiff, and Bordeauxdog, or simply Dogue is a large breed of dog. They are one of the oldest dogs in french, as a loyal, responsible and strong dog they are used in many work like pulling carts and hauling heavy objects and guarding flocks this breed will be a good pet companion in your home.

Dogue de Bordeaux Appearance

Dogue de Bordeaux is a large breed of dog with a strong, muscular well body built, they have a massive head with proper proportions. The front legs should be straight and heavy-boned, well up on pasterns, down to tight cat-like feet. The straight tail, beginning thickly at the base and then tapering to a point at the end, should not reach lower than the hocks, and is set and carried low.

Dogue de Bordeaux coat is short, fine, and soft. It comes in a color of light fawn to dark red fawn and covers thick, loose skin. Like other breeds of dog, it is advisable to bathe and groom them as necessary, used the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good. 

It is best to keep their dental hygiene and nail care properly too, periodontal disease is very common to dog whatever their size, brush their teeth several times a week to help remove tartar and bacteria and maintain the good condition of their teeth. Trim their nails once or twice a month to prevent injury in your dogs, long nails can also cause arthritis or other health concern in dogs.
