Frengle Dog

The Frengle is a mixed breed dog cross between the French Bulldog and Beagle. Loyal, charismatic, sweet, and friendly these dogs inherit both good qualities of its parent. They are very adaptable to their environment which makes them great apartment dogs, they are not “yappy” dogs but will bark to alert you if there is a stranger which makes them a good watchdog.

Frengle Appearance

Frengle has short to medium coats that are often a mix of their French Bulldog and Beagle parent’s coats. The main colors of Frengles are tri, brown, cream, brindle, and spotted. Sometimes their coats are solid, and sometimes they have a mix of those colors. Because of their short to medium-length coat, they are generally not considered to be an ideal dog for those with allergies. Like other breeds of dog, it is still advisable to bathe and groom them as necessary, use the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good.

They don’t have a thick coat that will protect them from extreme weather conditions if it is summer season make sure to put some sunscreen on their body that is prone to sunburn, and if it is winter season make them wear a jacket to keep them warm.

It is best to keep their dental hygiene and nail care properly too, periodontal disease is very common to dog whatever their size, brush their teeth several times a week to help remove tartar and bacteria and maintain the good condition of their teeth. Trim their nails once or twice a month to prevent injury in your dogs, long nails can also cause arthritis or other health concern in dogs. Short, neatly trimmed nails keep the feet in good condition and prevent our dog’s legs and our legs too from getting scratched when they excitedly jump up to greet us.

Having a yard or a place where they can run freely is advisable, like other dogs they need a daily exercise to keep them fit and healthy. A simple walk in the morning will help them keep healthy and well socialized. They are also intelligent and easy to train and discipline, with early socialization they can be a good companion with other animals in the house. They can be a good playmate with children too as long as you teach the children how to handle properly the dogs for the safety of the dogs and the children themselves.

The Frengle has its Beagle parents prey drive and can become easily distracted by scents.
