The Havanese also called “Havana Silk Dogs” is a bichon type breed of dog that originated in Cuba. They were bred as a companion dog for the Cuban aristocracy in the 1800s. A spirited personality and a curious character Havanese is a great family pet companion in any size of household.

Havanese Appearance

The Havanese is a toy dog but has a sturdy and not overly delicate body built, the top of their skull is flat while the back is rounded, their muzzle is full and tapers slightly at the nose. The eyes color is dark brown and in almond-shaped, their ears are arc slightly upward at the base and hang down on the sides of the head without touching the face.

Their coat is long, soft, lightweight, thick but silky with slightly wavy. It comes in white, black, black and tan, sable, gray, and countless of other colors and markings. They are considered a non to a low-shedding dog but like other breeds of dog, it is better to bathe and groom them as necessary, use the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good.

Canine Eye InflammationThe Canine Eye Inflammation may occur with unknown causes or event but it is often connected to many serious health problems. If your dog is suffering from eye inflammation in the outer skin and middle (muscle, connective tissue, and glands) of the eyes it is classified as Blepharitis, and if your dog is suffering from eye inflammation in the iris and ciliary body of the uvea of the eye it is classified as anterior uveitis, this may affect your dog’s vision and needs meditate veterinarian attention.
