The Lagotto Romagnolo is a breed of dog that originated in the marshlands of the Delta del Po in the eastern part of the Romagna sub-region of Italy. Also known as water dogs they are originally used as gun dogs which is the primary work is to assist hunters in finding and retrieving game, usually quail, dove, or duck.

Lagotto Romagnolo Appearance

The Lagotto Romagnolo has a strong and rough appearance, it has double coats that are water-resistant, it is thick, wool-like, and tightly curled into ringlets. They come in many colors such as cream, brown, orange, or golden, and either with or without white markings.

Lagotto is considered hypoallergenic great as a pet companion for those people with allergies, they are easy to maintain if you cut their hair short but if you want them to keep their natural long and silky hair it is advisable to brush it every day.
