The Scottish Terrier is a breed of dog that is also known as Scotti that is originated in Scotland, they have independent and stubborn character but are also quite sensitive. This independent, intelligent, and hilarious dog has the quality of a good and true terrier. Scottish Terrier Appearance

Scottish Terrier has a sturdy body built, it is compact and has a short-legged which makes them described as a small dog. Their erect ears and tail are salient features of the breed. Their eyes are small, bright, and piercing, and almond in shape, the color of it should be dark brown or nearly black, but the darker the better. Their ears should be small, prick, set well up on the skull and pointed, but never cut. They should be covered with short velvety hair.

Scotti has a hard, wiry, weather-resistant coat, it comes in different colors such as white Scottish terrier they have a pure white coat, the black Scottish terrier is the most common, and the wheaten Scottish terrier, grey or steel, brindle. Like other breeds of dogs, it is better to bathe and groom them as necessary, use the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good. 

It is best to keep their dental hygiene and nail care properly too, periodontal disease is very common to dog whatever their size, brush their teeth several times a week to help remove tartar and bacteria and maintain the good condition of their teeth. Trim their nails once or twice a month to prevent injury in your dogs, long nails can also cause arthritis or other health concern in dogs. Short, neatly trimmed nails keep the feet in good condition and prevent our dog’s legs and our legs too from getting scratched when they excitedly jump up to greet us.

Hip DysplasiaIt is an abnormal formation of the hip socket that, in its more severe form, can eventually cause crippling lameness and painful arthritis of the joints.
