Siberian Husky Appearance

Siberian Husky is a large breed of dog, it has a thick coat that comes in different colors such as black and white or white with brown or red color, like other breeds of dog, it is still advisable to bathe and groom them as necessary, use the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good. Matting isn’t a severe problem, as long as you brush him at least twice a week. The eyes color is blue, brown, or black and sometimes multi-colored and it is an almond shape.

Their coat makes them resistant to extreme cold temperature but in the summer hot day, they are not advisable to stay outdoor, because of their double coat they are prone to heatstroke, make sure to give them enough clean cold water and stay them indoors for their safety.

Dog Ear Infections is a common condition in dogs that can affect one or both ears, check their ears at least once to twice a week for redness or a bad odor it is an indication of Ear Infections. To prevent ear infections in dogs always make sure that it is clean, use a dog ear cleaner and gently wipe it using a cotton ball dampened with an ear cleaner to your dog’s ears.

It is best to keep their dental hygiene and nail care properly too, periodontal disease is very common to dog whatever their size, brush their teeth several times a week to help remove tartar and bacteria and maintain the good condition of their teeth. Trim their nails once or twice a month to prevent injury in your dogs, long nails can also cause arthritis or other health concern in dogs. Short, neatly trimmed nails keep the feet in good condition and prevent our dog’s legs and our legs too from getting scratched when they excitedly jump up to greet us.

Size

The average size of a female is between 16-23 kg (35 to 50 pounds) and height range from 51-56 cm (20 to 22 inches), while the male is between 20-27 kg (45 to 60 pounds) and height range from 53-60 cm (21 to 23.5 inches).

Siberian Husky Personality

Siberian Husky is a good pet at home especially if trained, they are also good in children and very affectionate to their owner they love to kiss and snuggle with them for a long period of time, a fetch game will be the best game for them (check this frisbee available on Amazon). Instead of barking they usually want to howl and they are like talking this makes them called a “talking dog”.

They are well suited for households or families of any size but advisable to live in a large house with plenty of space, they will also need plenty of exercise and attention. Having a yard or a place where they can run freely is advisable, like other dogs they need a daily exercise to keep them fit and healthy. A simple walk in the morning will help them keep healthy and well socialized.

They are intelligent and easy to train and discipline, with early socialization they can be a good companion with other animals in the house. They can be a good playmate with children too as long as you teach the children how to handle properly the dogs for the safety of the dogs and the children themselves.
