About Wire Fox Terrier
The Wire Fox Terrier also known as Wire Hair Fox Terrier is one of the two types of Fox Terrier breed of dog. It is 7.26 to 8.16 kg dog with a sturdy body, although it bears a resemblance to the Smooth Fox Terrier their rough and wiry white coat makes them unique, like to other terriers they are friendly and very sociable which makes them ideal as a pet companion in the house.
Wire Fox Terrier Appearance
Wire Fox Terrier coat is rough and wiry, its coat color consists of a predominant white base with brown markings of the face and ears, and usually a black saddle or large splotch of color; there may be other black or brown markings on the body. Like other breeds of dog, it is still advisable to bathe and groom them as necessary, use the right shampoo and conditioner for their fur to make it soft, silky, and smell good.
It is best to keep their dental hygiene and nail care properly too, periodontal disease is very common to dog whatever their size, brush their teeth several times a week to help remove tartar and bacteria and maintain the good condition of their teeth. Trim their nails once or twice a month to prevent injury in your dogs, long nails can also cause arthritis or other health concern in dogs. The Wire Fox Terrier is well known for being energetic, they can easily get bored and needs a lot of attention from their owner, a walk in a day outside the house will make them happy and healthy. They are also a very affectionate dog, they love their owner a lot and they enjoy cuddling on the couch for a long period of time.
Wire Fox Terrier is also intelligent and easy to train and discipline, with early socialization they can be a good companion with other animals in the house.
